On May 29, 1975 Neil Armstrong, the first man to step onto the Moon, visited Rockwell Collins. That evening he was the keynote speaker at a dinner meeting of the Collins Management Club held at the Roosevelt Hotel in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Recently, a series of color contact print photographs taken at that event have surfaced in the museum archives. These photos were scanned into digital files. The challenge now is to identify all the people in the photographs getting Neil’s autograph.

Why is this important? Two reasons – first to accurately preserve the history of the event and secondly, Neil Armstrong’s autograph is highly prized by collectors. A recent internet investigation revealed that his autograph is the number one sought autograph by collectors. Recently one sold for $7,500.

So please pass the word to the folks attending that CMC meeting years ago. They may have a valuable bit of historical memorabilia and not know it.

Identifying the people in the photographs
If you can identify any of the people in these photographs, please jot down the photograph ID number, and the individual number appearing in the photo along with the person’s name and email the information to me. My email address is rod.blocksome@gmail.com Thank you.
